Denise Sofia is the Head of ESG at Contship Italia, an intermodal logistics group that owns and operates La Spezia Container Terminal, the second-largest container terminal in Italy.

She is responsible for Contship’s ESG strategy, defining Contship’s roadmap to Net Zero and embedding sustainability into the core of the business.

Before joining Contship, Denise worked as a Senior Strategist at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and as EMEA Sustainability Officer at JLL, where she led cross-regional sustainability programs and supported clients in integrating ESG into their operations and portfolios.
