Ana Arévalo, with an M.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and a Master’s in Management Development (PMD®) from ESADE Business & Law School, boasts over two decades of expertise in naval, logistics, and port management.

Currently,  as Head of the Shorepower department at the Port of Barcelona, Arévalo spearheads the Nexigen project, a pioneering endeavor aimed at accelerating dock electrification. Beyond her pivotal role in port electrification, she contributes as a professor at the European Intermodal Transport School and actively engages with industry organizations such as WPCAP, PIANC, WISTA and others,  representing the Port of Barcelona’s interests in the port logistics sector
