Charles has worked as a specialist in the deployment of vessel traffic management systems since 2006. As a trained marine chemist (University of Southampton, NOCS) and qualified VTS operator (Fleetwood Nautical College), Charles is passionate about the application of the latest technology to provide a sustainable, efficient and environmentally sound model for the future of VTS operations, marine security and port management.

Recently Charles has led the deployment of an ongoing ten year program for the provision of VTS and PMIS systems for the Associated British Ports group, which kicked off last year with the go-live of a brand new Vessel Traffic Services control room at the Port of Southampton.
