During her career Giulia has gained significant construction site experience for several projects acting as the client representative on site and on-board dredging vessels being responsible for supervising the entire cycle the dredging works. This has included the review of ongoing operations against existing plans, early identification of technical issues arising from the works and liaison with client management and project engineering teams.

Giulia has a genuine interest in sustainability and to contribute to the adoption of sustainable practices by the civil engineering industry. Within HR Wallingford she is part of the team implementing the company’s Sustainability Programme in particular focussed on the aspects of climate change services and business development transition. Outside HR Wallingford, Giulia is a member of CEDA Decarbonisation Commission which is dedicated to the decarbonisation of the dredging industry. In addition, Giulia is one of the tutors of IADC Dredging for Sustainable Infrastructure (DFSI) Course.

Before joining HR Wallingford Ltd, Giulia has also gained construction site experience working for an Italian company providing offshore surveys and positioning services
