Jackie Spiteri has worked in the ports and maritime sector for over ten years. As Senior Manager of ESG for the Port of Newcastle Jackie brings a wealth of knowledge on sustainable development and operations. Jackie has been responsible for developing the Ports Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Strategy and delivering the Ports Strategic Development Plan.

Recent flagship initiatives include the introduction of the EcoPorts network to the business, positioning PON as the first port in the Pacific Region to participate and be certified by the globally recognised program. Delivering the recent transition of PONs vehicle fleet to 100% electric vehicles and project managing PONs energy contract renewal to100% renewable energy. Jackie has also taken the lead on developing the Ports first Sustainability Financing Framework with a recent refinancing transaction securing $515m(AUD)  against a Sustainability Linked Loan.
