Javier Garrido Salsas is an accomplished civil engineer with a robust academic and professional background that spans several countries and specialized fields. Graduating from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Javier has not only established a solid foundation in engineering but also expanded his expertise by earning a double diploma from the École des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris, a leading institution known for its focus on transport and urban planning.
Since 2019, Javier has embarked on a visionary journey towards redefining the future of ports by pursuing a doctorate in collaboration with the Port of Barcelona. His research, Port Vision 2040, aims to chart a sustainable future for port activities, addressing the critical challenges of social, economic, and environmental sustainability. He currently works in the Department of Innovation at the Port of Barcelona and he plays a pivotal role in engaging the ecosystem of innovation of the port. Javier has participated in the definition of the Green Port Masterplan and is engaged in woking groups related to Green Corridors.
