Lukas Leppert is a Transport Policy Officer of NABU, the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union of Germany. It is Germany’s oldest and largest environmental association with more than 900.000 members and 70.000 active volunteers. His work is focused on international shipping from an ecological viewpoint, mainly focusing on its impacts on nature and climate. He now uses his knowledge to take a critical stance on the status quo and highlights necessary steps for a shipping future that doesn’t endanger our planet.
